JackJack Live — Community Guidelines
Version: terms-v3 · Effective: [EFFECTIVE DATE — set this when you publish]
JackJack Live is a place to play cards. It should feel like a good home game: competitive, social, and open to anyone who wants to sit down. These Guidelines describe what we expect from everyone at the tables and in chat, and what happens when someone falls short of that.
They apply everywhere on JackJack Live — table chat, direct messages, display names, avatars, banners, profile text, wall posts, photographs, and anything else you can put in front of another player.
1. Chat and Messages
Keep chat welcome to the person sitting next to you. Do not post:
- Sexual, pornographic, obscene, or otherwise illegal content
- Personal or confidential information about another player — real names, addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, screenshots of private messages, or anything else that could be used to find or harass someone away from the table
- Repeated or duplicated messages, advertising, referral links, or anything else that floods the chat and makes the table unusable
- Threats, harassment, slurs, or content that encourages violence against a person or group
- Content encouraging self-harm or suicide
- Solicitations to move play, payment, or wagering off the platform
Trash-talk banners are chosen from lines we wrote, and they are throttled. That is deliberate: a jab is part of poker, a wall of text at a stranger is not.
Breaking these rules will normally cost you access to chat first, and your account if it keeps happening. You can block any player, which stops their messages reaching you.
2. Play Fair
Poker only works when everyone at the table believes the game is straight. The following are prohibited and are the fastest way to lose your account permanently:
- Collusion — sharing hole card information, signalling, soft-playing a partner, or coordinating play with another player at the same table by any means, including outside chat, calls, or messaging apps
- Chip dumping — deliberately losing chips to move them to another account, whether or not anything of value changes hands in return
- Bots, scripts, or automation — any program that plays, assists, or makes decisions for you
- Real-time assistance — solvers, HUDs, hand-strength calculators, odds overlays, or any tool consulted while a hand is live
- Ghosting — letting another person play your hands or advise you during a hand, including on stream or over voice
- Multi-accounting — running more than one account, or occupying more than one seat at the same table or in the same tournament
- Off-platform trading — buying, selling, renting, or gifting accounts, chips, or vault items for real money or anything of value outside the game
- Abusing bugs, exploits, disconnect protection, or timing mechanics rather than reporting them
- Manipulating leaderboards, titles, tournament results, or promotions by any of the above
What is allowed. Moving items and chips between players is part of the game when it happens through the features built for it: putting a vault item up as a stake at a table, offering an item to another player for in-game currency, selling an item back to the house, and winning prizes. None of that is chip dumping. What makes it chip dumping is throwing a hand to move value to an account you control or are in league with.
3. Be Yourself, Keep It Civil
You are welcome to have a personality at our tables. You are not welcome to:
- Impersonate another player or JackJack Live staff, or otherwise misrepresent who you are in a way meant to mislead
- Harass, stalk, or pile on another player, or organise others to do so
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or with other players' ability to use it
- Use JackJack Live to advertise, recruit, or run any business that is not ours
This applies to display names, avatars, banners, photographs and profile text just as it does to chat. Photographs uploaded for your seat at the table are reviewed by a person before other players see them — upload a photo of yourself, not of somebody who has not agreed to it.
4. How We Enforce
We respond in proportion to what happened and to your history. Depending on the conduct, we may issue a warning, mute chat for a period, remove content, restrict features, reverse or void chips, items and results obtained through prohibited conduct, or suspend or permanently close an account.
Fair-play violations — collusion, chip dumping, bots, and ghosting in particular — generally result in a permanent ban on a first offence, and in the forfeiture of any chips, items, prizes, or standings connected to that conduct.
We investigate using gameplay records, table logs, the payout ledger, session and IP data, and reports from other players. Where we can, we will tell you what we found; where telling you would compromise our ability to detect the same behaviour again, we will not.
If you think we got it wrong, appeal by writing to jointinnovationgroup@gmail.com. Include your display name and roughly when the decision was made.
5. Reporting a Problem
Use the report option on a player's profile, or write to us at jointinnovationgroup@gmail.com. Tell us the display name involved, roughly when it happened, and the table or tournament if you know it. Screenshots help.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We can act on an account; we cannot send help.
6. Changes
We may update these Guidelines as the game changes. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated Guidelines.
